Aon is looking for a Managing Director, Business Development Leader, Public Sector Partnership. As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Public Sector Partnership team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identifies and develops opportunities for new, creative risk solutions for public sector clients (local, state, federal/national, and global agencies) across diverse geographies.
- Grows Public Sector Partnership by working with solution line and geography leaders in defining growth strategy opportunities and broadening the firm’s footprint across government entities.
- Convenes diverse stakeholders across Aon to problem solve around strategic direction for business development efforts, enable the success of new risk solutions, and coordinate engagement with high-priority clients.
- Cross-sells into and expands existing accounts to grow relationships and increase value delivered to clients.
- Mentors and supports sales team members based on extensive experience in professional service sales environment; builds team as Public Sector Partnership grows.
- Works with research analysts to assess a broad array of markets and opportunities.

- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and resolve conflict.
- Demonstrated experience working and leading organizations in international markets.
- Strong public sector network and record of successfully driving growth in organizations focused on serving the public sector.
- Strong focus on business development with an entrepreneurial mindset and bias to grow client footprint, with eagerness to target whitespace.
- Strong business acumen and executive sales presence, including the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels.
- Strong experience in (re)insurance and other forms of risk transfer mechanisms.
