Summary:
Westchester Medical Center, a quaternary regional academic medical center in Valhalla, NY, seeks an academic attending physician in Vitreoretinal Surgery Ophthalmology to join our expanding faculty. The medical center serves as a regional referral and trauma center.
Job Summary:
This faculty member will join the Department of Ophthalmology with rank commensurate with experience. The department has a mission to provide education and teaching opportunities to hospital residents and New York Medical College students. A core objective is to provide trauma call at Westchester Medical Center and Maria Fareri Children's Hospital for ophthalmologic emergencies. The Department has a newly constructed vitreoretinal surgical suite and the newest technology in diagnostic imaging equipment.
Experience:
Applicants should have completed a vitreoretinal fellowship and be eligible to obtain a New York State license. The successful candidate should have excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills and be committed to patient care, medical education, and scholarly activities. Academic experience is preferred, and participation in program-building activities is expected.
