Here at Optum, the largest network of medical groups in the nation, we are seeking a dedicated, patient-centric Ophthalmologist (Retina Specialist) to join our growing team in Mount Kisco, NY. This is an opportunity, created by expanding patient volume and the need for succession planning, to practice vitreoretinal surgery in partnership with two other surgeons in an established group. A successful candidate will desire to build a long-term sustainable practice within a supportive multispecialty group.

Position Highlights:
- Join two Vitreoretinal Surgeons in a well-regarded Retina practice which was founded more than 40 years ago and has deep ties to the local ophthalmic community.
- Office Practice is well supported by Medical Assistants, Certified Ophthalmic Technicians, Retinal Photographers, and Precertification Specialists.
- The main offices feature a full suite of retinal imaging modalities, including widefield photography, FA, ICG, Spectral Domain OCT & OCTA, and Eye Cubed Ultrasound. Zeiss Forum is available to integrate and view the images.
- An AI enhanced Digital Scribe (DAX) available.
- Multiple laser platforms are available including Patterned, Indirect Laser, MicroPulse, and PDT.
- A director of pharmacy and experienced purchasing team help to manage the 15+ injectable medications kept in stock.
- The retina offices are separate spaces with a dedicated staff, which helps create a small practice experience for the patients.
- Surgery is done in a well-equipped nearby hospital with retina trained staff using Alcon equipment, a Leica Microscope, and Resight viewing system.
- Call is Retina only and shared equally among the doctors. No general ER call is required. Weekend call is shared with a community retina specialist.
- Opportunities to perform ROP care exist, but ROP care is not required.
- Enjoy a collegial practice with other subspecialty ophthalmologists who have completed fellowships in cornea, glaucoma, and neuro-ophthalmology.

Required Qualifications:
- Unrestricted licensure in the state of New York or has New York application in process.
- Board Certification or board eligibility in Ophthalmology.
- Active and unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain prior to start.
New York Residents Only: The salary range for New York residents is $414,306 to $569,873 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
