Overview
Responsible for oversight of all aspects of grant activities, including supervision of staff, tracking of data, adherence to protocols, collaboration with community partners, participation in grant activities, quality assurance and improvement, purchases and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Establishes and maintains positive relationships with patients, visitors, and other employees. Interacts professionally, courteously, and appropriately with patients, visitors, and other employees. Behaves in a manner consistent with maintaining and furthering a positive public perception of BronxCare Health System and its employees.
- Contributes to and participates in the Performance/Quality Improvement activities of the assigned department. Contribution and participation includes data collection, analysis, implementation of and compliance with corrective/improvement activities, membership on CQI teams, consistent adherence to established clinical/performance standards, and adherence to the specific rules and regulations of the B.C.H.S. (a) Safety & Security Policies, (b) Risk Management: Incident and Occurrence Reporting, (c) Infection Control Policies and Procedures, (d) Patient and Customer Service.
- Directs Grants team including but not limited to community health workers, social workers, student interns, and support staff. This includes oversight of scheduling and implementation of grant deliverables.
- Collaborates with community partners and participates in community activities per grant requirements.
- Together with fiscal departments, tracks program expenditures to assure adherence to budgetary limitations and maintains all documentation required for budget justifications.
- Orders program supplies, including office supplies, outreach materials, MetroCards, and other items as needed.
- Oversees maintenance of program tracking and enrollment per grant requirements.
- Assures fidelity to evidence-based models per grant requirements.
- Develops and submits reports: annual/bi-annual reports and statistical reports as required.
- Develops and maintains program activities related to positive health outcomes for youth per grant requirements.
- Performs other duties as needed by the Chair of Pediatrics that are related to the success of the grant.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in staff supervision, program management, and collaboration with community agencies. Familiarity with the health field and issues impacting health care.
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Social Work (LCSW), or other health-related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; understanding of databases; internet proficiency.
