SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Research and Data Analyst will work in tandem with the Director of Research & Data Analytics to create and nurture an effective prospective research and data analytics practice at the Museum of Science. They will use best practices and evolving tools in prospect research and identification to provide impactful information to front-line Advancement staff. The analyst will provide wealth capacity ratings and synthesized biographical information for prospects suggested by staff, board, or other methods of identification. The analyst will work closely with other members of the Research and Data Analytics team to identify data integrity clean-up projects and support the effective use of the Museum's CRM system.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In collaboration with the Director of Research & Data Analytics, manage the PM metrics tracking process and ensure accurate data is entered to measure performance.
- Attend all event intake and debrief meetings to understand prospect list requirements and briefing material expectations. Lead the prospect briefing research process on behalf of the Research & Data Analytics department.
- In collaboration with the Director of Research & Data Analytics and the Associate Director of CRM Management, ensure accurate data in the CRM system and aid in the development of enhanced features that will lead to effective fundraising.
- Respond to Prospect Research & Data requests submitted by Advancement staff promptly.
- Monitor news outlets to identify potential prospects or inform front-line staff of news associated with their prospects or industries that interest the Museum.
- Analyze prospect moves management, reviewing moves activity with gift officers and Advancement lead.
WORK SCHEDULE:
This position is full-time, 40 hours/wk, Monday-Friday 9-5pm.
Hybrid: Required to work from the office Monday, Thursday, and 1 additional day.
REPORTS TO:
Director, Research & Data Analytics
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree.
Experience: 2-4 years of related experience (fundraising, prospect research, or other related experience).
STARTING SALARY:
(Exempt) $63,400 to $79,250
