The Evaluation Systems group of Pearson offers dynamic teacher licensing and performance assessment solutions. Our custom teacher licensure testing programs are aligned to state and national standards. We also provide a wide variety of teacher licensure testing services such as test development, administration, and scoring. We work in a collaborative environment and are passionate about education.
As a Senior Production Editor, you'll apply your proven skills of copyediting, proofreading, and quality control to a wide range of materials. You’ll support multiple projects simultaneously to meet client-driven deadlines in our collaborative environment. You will also represent the department in cross-functional meetings and coordinate efforts within the group to meet shared goals with high-quality outcomes.
This role will be remote within the contiguous US.

Primary Responsibilities
Copyedits and proofreads test items and supporting documents to ensure content is grammatically accurate, free of typos, and adheres to established guidelines and styles
Ensures accuracy of the content as it is handled throughout the materials production process
Performs various quality control and technical checks, such as item accounting and formatting
Maintains accurate, up-to-date work plans and tracking logs; provides status to management
Represents the department in cross-functional meetings and coordinates project efforts within the team; works collaboratively with associates to meet client-driven deadlines
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in English or equivalent, with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
Having experience being in a production environment as an editor is a plus.
Skills/Qualifications
We are seeking proven copyediting, proofreading, and quality control skills, and in addition:
Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and negotiation skills
Proficiency with Microsoft systems/software (Outlook, Word, Excel), PDF software, file management, and computer/internet-based navigation; ability to master new technology
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
Experience with collaborative, team-based efforts
Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously and coordinating the efforts of others to meet shared goals
Schedule and Work Setup
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm ET
Work from home with Pearson-supplied hardware and support. (Employees are responsible for securing reliable internet.)
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State, and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum hours salary range is between $22 - $26
This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program; information on benefits offered ishere.
