As Our Director of Product, DataPulse, you will lead the overall product strategy that drives a measurable improvement in metrics. You will identify cross-product synergies, track and realize value, and make trade-off decisions. You will manage the product lifecycle in the portfolio, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and work with senior product leadership to create a global product roadmap. You will lead high-performance teams across multiple product lines and are responsible for the recruitment, development, performance, and success of the associates on their team.
You will lead R1’s DataPulse product. DataPulse is R1’s early-stage internal platform for monitoring data availability, observability, and quality, including proactive alerting and visualization capabilities. Scope includes thousands of data feeds spanning both our data lake and analytics platforms. This is an early stage, high profile product.
Here’s what you will experience working as Director of Product, DataPulse:
- Develop and execute the product roadmap for R1 DataPulse, aligning with the company’s overall strategic goals and objectives, as well as the R1 data strategy.
- Using a deep understanding of healthcare data and related technologies, collaborate with cross-functional leaders, presenting updates, recommended paths forward, and product strategy.
- Lead and manage teams of product managers and business analysts.
- Act as an escalation point for teams to resolve conflict and mediate with stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs and market trends and use that information to drive product innovation and differentiation.
- Monitor key product metrics and performance indicators and use data-driven insights to make informed product decisions.
Required Skills:
- Proven ability to create product vision and develop/deliver/execute on product roadmap.
- Ability to “manage up” and evangelize DataPulse through positive, productive relationships with executives, clients, and other product owners.
- Enthusiastic about leading and developing others, both directly and through influence.
- Experience in market research to identify best practices, vendors, and emerging technologies.
- Ability to communicate, present, and engage with executive and other stakeholders to explain complex information in a non-complex fashion.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in product management, management consulting, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years leading and managing teams.
- Minimum 5 years healthcare data and/or analytics experience.
- Experience leading data or analytics capabilities using a current generation data platform (Databricks, Snowflake, etc.).
- Intermediate expertise in SQL, python, and/or similar languages.
- Experience driving execution within an Agile environment.
- Experience interfacing directly with technology leaders and engineers.
- Ability to travel up to 20%, as necessary.
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $117,000.00 - $206,407.00 per year. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
