Our client is a growing company within the clinical research space, focused on providing innovative services to pharmaceutical companies and research organizations. They are seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to expand their reach and cultivate long-term client partnerships.
Job Description:
As the Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for driving new business, managing key accounts, and identifying growth opportunities within the clinical research or pharmaceutical sectors. You will lead efforts to present our client’s services to potential clients, establish new relationships, and strengthen existing ones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key clients.
- Provide regular reports on sales activities and progress.
- Create and implement client outreach and engagement strategies.
- Monitor competitors and deliver relevant insights to management.
- Promote our client's unique services and capabilities.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across service lines.
- Lead client presentations and maintain regular communication with stakeholders.
- Evaluate project proposals and ensure alignment with client needs.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and manage the sales pipeline.
- Prospect for new business and lead outreach efforts, including cold calls.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Life Sciences (MBA preferred).
- A strong network within clinical research or the pharmaceutical industry.
- At least 3 years of sales experience in clinical research services or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Deep understanding of clinical research processes, particularly site services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
- Proven ability to develop and execute business development strategies.
