Nature of Duties/Responsibilities
- Oversee global revenue policy compliance and provide practical direction to the Accounting organization in the areas of revenue recognition.
- Develop, document, and maintain global revenue recognition policies, procedures, and controls ensuring consistent implementation.
- Establish monitoring processes to ensure policy compliance and effectiveness of revenue controls.
- Lead the implementation process and activities on all cross-functional deals for Finance teams from initial development of appropriate revenue accounting treatment providing a clear roadmap for ongoing ownership to complete the implementation.
- Act as a business partner to Commercial Sales, including providing options and recommendations for deal structure and contract language to enable revenue growth while ensuring accounting compliance.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, provide technical accounting guidance, and support the company’s financial reporting process.
- Research technical accounting topics and author technical accounting memos for complex or non-routine transactions.
- Review quarterly ASC 718 share-based compensation entries and rollforward.
- Responsible for calculation of Earnings Per Share (EPS).
- Lead M&A finance due diligence efforts, including planning, review, reporting, and integration.
- Maintain internal controls and evaluate actions required for compliance with the company's revenue accounting processes.
- Build organizational competency in revenue and technical accounting concepts through training, coaching, and process monitoring.
- Lead implementation of new accounting policies worldwide, as well as new accounting pronouncements, in collaboration with Regional Controllers to drive team and organizational success.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting operations in area of responsibility.
- Help Finance organization with ad hoc projects on an as needed basis.
Education and Experience
- 15+ years accounting experience with a combination of Big 4 and industry experience.
- CPA or equivalent.
- Strong, in-depth knowledge of ASC 606 rules and US GAAP accounting rules.
- Operational experience with revenue recognition ideally in a manufacturing organization.
- Ability to think outside the box, comfortable with ambiguity and provide suggestions and guidance.
- Ability to communicate highly technical perspectives to individuals with varying degrees of experience in the subject matter.
- Experience in leading various revenue system implementations.

Salary Range (annual): $170,000 - $210,000
