Summary We're looking for a Managing Director to join our team in NCTX - Denton County.

Duties Responsibilities:
- Responsible for following rules of confidentiality.
- Lead and manage all quality activities at Child Care Services (CCS) to include, quality supports and financial supports/incentives for early learning and child care programs.
- Lead and strategize collaborative initiatives with key community partners.
- Hire, supervise and direct Program Support staff.
- Analyze rules and regulations to develop recommendations for policy and program issues related to the implementation of, improvement in and changes to the Texas Rising Star program.
- Develop mentors/coaches towards program improvement, and identify and direct activities including training and program supports that support quality.
- Work alongside diverse populations in many different settings, including academic, collaborative, and neighborhood levels.
- Public speaking and meeting facilitation as needed.
- Establish program goals and objectives; evaluates program statistics and trends; develops and approves schedules, priorities and standards for achieving goals, and oversees program evaluation activities.
- Prepare and conduct training and presentations regarding assigned program for stakeholders.
- Conduct reviews, and/or monitoring activities to determine compliance with program requirements, laws, regulations, policies and procedures for the Texas Rising Star program.
- Provide on-site mentoring to child care providers attaining and maintaining Texas Rising Star certification.
- Responsible for assisting facilities to move towards 4 Star or National Accreditation status by providing on-going support through professional development and modeling developmentally appropriate practices.
- Maintain a visit schedule to ensure all TRS sites receive on-site visits regularly.
- Submit reports to leadership detailing site visits, successes and obstacles.
- Develop instructional materials and provide instructional trainings on a monthly basis.
- Recruit providers and provide on-site training in attaining TRS status.
- Participate in community events as required.
- Assist in ordering materials and resources through the Quality Initiatives program as needed for the TRS program.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree preferred) from an accredited college or university with major work in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology, Educational Psychology, or Elementary Education with an emphasis in child development.
- Minimum of two years of full-time work experience directly working in or supervising the direct delivery of early learning and/or child care services.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in an early childhood setting.
- Previous experience and proven ability in preparing and conducting training and development workshops for adults with effective results.
- Excellent demonstrated organizational, verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, parents and external vendors with professionalism and diplomacy.
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and versatile while keeping overarching goals and outcomes in mind.
- Ability to anticipate, understand, and respond to the needs of partners to maintain relationships to advance collaborative work.
- Computer proficiency (preferably Microsoft Office).
- Must have internet access, and quiet workspace at home to work remotely as needed.
- Access to insured and reliable transportation.

- Possess the ability to start new projects and develop new policies and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey thoughts, ideas and concepts to others.
- Computer proficiency required, as well as the ability to utilize Technology as an effective management and communication tool.
- Experience developing strategic direction for continuous program improvement.
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred).
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment and/or periodic physical examination, annual TB skin test, and complete background check every 24 months.
