Job Overview:
The External Reporting Team oversees the preparation and distribution of all external financial reporting documents and related SEC filings. Ensures that reports, filings and documentation comply with company regulations, professional standards, and SEC and US GAAP reporting guidelines. The External Reporting Team performs technical accounting research related to new and proposed accounting standards, advises management of trends and changes in reporting requirements and recommends the best approach for any changes in reporting. Additionally, the External Reporting Team supports and assists with the implementation, maintenance and review of internal controls and corporate policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the preparation of quarterly reports (Form 10-Q), annual reports (Form 10-K) and current reports (Form 8-K) and supporting schedules.
- Interfaces with external auditors.
- Prepares US GAAP disclosure checklist.
- Assists in ensuring compliance with US GAAP reporting requirements; assists in the implementation of new accounting pronouncements.
- Acts as technical accounting resource by assisting with researching, resolving and documenting accounting issues that arise during the quarter.
- Assists in financial research efforts. Analyzes, researches and concludes on new and proposed accounting, reporting and disclosure standards issued by the SEC, PCAOB, FASB, and other regulatory agencies and prepares memorandums regarding the Company's position and impact on the Company.
- Maintaining a rigorous internal control environment and owning several key control activities.
- Assisting with ad-hoc information requests, analysis, and cross-functional projects.
Essential Qualifications:
5-7 Years Experience at Big Four Accounting Firm with US Listed Engagements or Working in Accounting at a US Public Company
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant in United States
Pay & Benefits:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.
At Coupang, your base pay is one part of your total compensation.
The base pay for this position ranges from $153,000/year in our lowest geographic market to $190,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
