DESCRIPTIONThe Amazon Web Services (AWS) North America Startup Team is looking for a technically proficient individual who understands the AWS tech stack, knows how to partner with customers, enjoys working with cross-functional teams, likes to design and build programs and operating models, and can help the leader of this group define and deploy on the team's strategy.
As a Solutions Architect on the AWS North America Startup team, you will have the opportunity to help define and execute a strategy to build deep adoption and broad use of AWS GenAI, Services, Training, and Education amongst solution architects and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Mobilize the solution architects team within startups, AWS product teams, customers, and partners, working directly with the Startup leader.
- Apply business and technical skills to rapidly design well-architected solutions that help the team's strategy and customers accelerate their adoption of AWS cloud.
- Known for high velocity assessment, prioritization, and build of quality, innovative solutions.
- Continuously seek out the voice of the customer to guide prioritization and assess and increase effectiveness.
- Actively contribute to solution design enhancement initiatives across AWS.
- Apply expertise in the AWS tech stack engineering, user experience design, data management, and architecture to accelerate the development of innovative scalable productivity solutions.
- Convert ideas into execution, helping the leader of this team ideate, design, solution, and deliver on various projects and programs.
- Develop training curriculums, certifications, and set standards for delivery excellence.
- Lead others in developing reusable assets that help solution architects select the right services for customers.
- Evangelize AWS services and share best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, white-papers, reference architectures, and public-speaking events.
- Partner with Sales, Tech, and Services teams across AWS to prioritize solutions that will accelerate adoption.
- Benchmark continuously to elevate innovation, quality, and delivery of operating models.
- Support Solution Architecture leadership needs and growth opportunities.
- Identify and implement opportunities to integrate.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 10+ years of specific technology domain experience (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, and publications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience with AWS Tech Stack, Services, and Solutions.
- Experience with strategy and project management.
- Experience in systems design with the ability to architect and explain AWS services.
- Knowledge of current trends: GenAI, Automation, Workflow Capacity, Cloud, etc.
- Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers.
- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming, or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $164,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $284,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
