AWS is looking for an experienced, strategic technology leader who is looking for an opportunity to drive digital transformation for AWS’s customers in the commercial enterprise space. This role will be based in Singapore and will cover the ASEAN region.
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Key job responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with the Enterprise C-suite (CIO, CTO, CISO, etc) and Enterprise architects; understand the customer’s technology challenges; dive deep and understand stated, unstated needs, issues.
- Working backwards from the customer and business needs, build a holistic technology vision, strategy and practical transformation plan– addressing technology challenges but also increasing business impact, innovation and agility, addressing skills and org challenges.
- Challenge the technical status quo, inspire customer to a bolder technical vision and increase the velocity of shift to digital/cloud; address short, mid and long-term time horizons; work with customer, AWS leadership and all key stakeholders to create buy-in and joint ownership of transformation strategy and execution plan.
- Provide leadership to pull together and orchestrate all AWS technical resources (Solution Architects, Service lines, Service teams) to support customer success.
- Build a strategic eco-system of AWS consulting, integration and delivery and ISV partners to support the delivery of customer’s digital transformation outcomes, increase satisfaction, and build a sustainable platform for sales growth.
- Advocacy - Represent the AWS technology strategy for FSI and/or Telco to our internally and externally, industry events, media, etc.
- In this role you’ll act as a CTO in-residence, serving as a technology & strategy advisor for key AWS enterprise customers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
- Experience developing technology solutions and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing.
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, publications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation or equivalent.
- Knowledge of large scale automation and workflow management or equivalent.
- Knowledge of database design and implementation or equivalent.
- Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers.
- Cloud experience preferred in either the Telecommunications and Financial Services Industries.
