Salary: $64.55 to $80.69 per hour (To commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy)

Position Summary
The Interim Director, Business Intelligence & Automation works under the Chief Data & Analytics Officer (CDAO) to lead UHN’s business intelligence and automation initiatives. This role offers the chance to learn about groundbreaking analytics work and contribute to projects shaping the future of healthcare analytics.
Duties
- Strategic Leadership & Innovation: Provide strategic leadership, lead the BI Subcommittee work, support a new strategic approach to decision-making, champion innovation and support efforts to solve critical data management challenges through data fabric.
- Operational Excellence & Product Leadership: Oversee the development, launch and enhancement of strategic data products, lead efforts to develop & promote data visualization best practices, and support advancement of UHN’s intelligent automation capabilities.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead a team of professionals by fostering a positive & innovative work environment, work closely with UHN leadership teams and provide mentorship, coaching and growth opportunities.
- Quality & Continuous Improvement: Implement continuous quality improvement initiatives within our team and services and evaluate the success and quality of ongoing products.
Minimum Requirements
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. health management, analytics, data science).
- 10-15 years of related experience, with a proven track record of leading data-driven initiatives.
- Extensive experience in business intelligence, data analytics, data visualization and process automation.
- Proven experience in implementing data fabric architectures, including expertise in Microsoft Fabric capabilities e.g. data integration, data engineering, data warehousing, data science, BI and data activator, within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Experience with healthcare systems and a deep understanding of clinical and operational workflows.
- Familiarity with automation technologies such as robotic process automation (RPA), document understanding and Power Automate.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide teams through complex projects, ambiguity, and change.
- Ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
