Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President of Capital Markets, the Director of Capital Markets will help drive a variety of initiatives related to financial strategy and capital markets, including raising a quarter billion dollars annually (growing significantly year over year), both tax equity and back leverage (short term warehouse facilities and future term financings), as well as helping to manage the company’s working capital financing.

Essential Job Functions:
- Developing a portfolio of scalable, low-cost financing structures to fund the Company’s residential solar systems.
- Structuring and leading project finance transactions from origination to close, including detailed tax equity modeling with an understanding of capital accounts, depreciation basis, and tax credit transferability.
- Engage in discrete analytical projects to drive business decision making and address strategic investment opportunities.
- Execute corporate modeling and capital planning activities, with ability and willingness to play multiple roles in capital markets and fundraising activities.
- Partnering with accounting and asset management to transition closed deals to the post-execution phase with the Fund Management group.
- Managing relationships with our ongoing tax equity partners and identifying follow-on investment opportunities.

Candidate Profile:
- MBA or equivalent preferred. Bachelor’s degree in finance or similar required.
- 2+ years experience in raising tax equity and debt project capital either with an investment bank, private equity firm, or project developer.
- High degree of familiarity with Excel modeling.
- Knowledge and experience working with renewable energy companies.
- Experience with tax structuring, ideally partnership flip and working capital loan structures.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with executive-level decision makers.
- Strong team player: ease working cross-functionally with Accounting, Sales, Legal, and Asset Management groups.
