All about the role:
The IT Director Manufacturing ensures Electrolux's Manufacturing technology stack delivers best-in-class, flexible and efficient support for our Manufacturing strategy. This role partners and translates the Manufacturing vision to technology solutions that support the ambition.
This role will own the strategy, roadmap, priorities, interaction and deliveries from IT for the Manufacturing business partner. This includes participating in the Manufacturing leadership team to set the IT strategy according to business needs, creating and maintaining the IT roadmaps for the Manufacturing space, managing and coordinating all aspects of IT delivery in terms of collaboration, project delivery, budget planning and strategy setting and execution. The candidate is expected to take an active part in all discussions with the business and the IT leadership team and should have relevant background in IT, Manufacturing and Operations functions & processes along with great leadership and communication skills.
The IT Director will manage, coach and develop a team of people mainly working within the Manufacturing areas in IT but also managing/overseeing business analyst(s) and project manager(s) as needed. He/she will work closely with the IT leadership team and other functions of IT to deliver the Manufacturing strategy.
The position will report to the CIO NA and sit on the IT Leadership team.
What you'll do:
- Drive the business relationship for the Manufacturing function to ensure a strong partnership in developing and delivering the Manufacturing technology roadmaps, aligned with the business vision and supporting business case development for new investments.
- Act as the key liaison across all functional areas, including Manufacturing, IT, vendors and other supporting areas needed to deliver the overall strategy in this space.
- Create shared vision of solutions and facilitate decision-making and arbitration relating to trade-offs both within and between different solution platforms.
- Develop and implement sound rationale for portfolio management and managing product phase-in-phase-out plans, proactively anticipating gaps and overlaps within the portfolio.
- Identify, screen, and evaluate new solution opportunities to address unmet business needs, collaborating with architecture and operations teams to ensure solution compatibility with company standards.
- Collaborate with NA IT leadership to develop annual budgets (Opex & Capex) for respective business areas.
- Provide leadership, coaching, development, and direction to the team.
- Responsible for prioritizing IT demand with the business function.
- Drive simplification of the business area's IT landscape.
- Work on both short term and long-term staffing needs. Assess both existing and future needs to determine optimal delivery model over time.
- Ensure business ownership of initiatives and drive business stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications required:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in IT and business industry.
- 8+ years in managerial role.
- Demonstrated experience across the full project life cycle, from initiative identification through completion.
- Experience implementing and enhancing IT solutions and SAP Platform (SAP ECC, SAP MFG, etc.)
- Preferably, experience in large, cross-functional teams influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders effectively across the organization and within complex contexts.
- Preferably proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading IT transformational initiatives in complex and dynamic environments.
