Who are we hiring?
The Vice President, Ticket Sales and Service is responsible for leading the strategic direction and operational execution of all ticket sales and service initiatives. This role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in sales management, customer service excellence, and team leadership. The VP will work closely with cross-functional teams to maximize revenue, enhance customer experience, and drive overall organizational growth.
What will you do?
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive ticket sales strategy that aligns with the organization’s overall objectives.
- Sales Leadership and Culture: Lead, mentor, and manage the ticket sales and service teams to achieve and exceed sales targets, while developing a high-performance culture based on accountability, teamwork and results
- Member and Client Experience: Ensure exceptional customer service across all touchpoints, creating a seamless experience for all ticket clients. Develop and implement programs to enhance customer loyalty and retention
- Revenue Optimization: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate across departments to create compelling sales campaigns and initiatives, optimize revenue across varying external stakeholders, and align sales strategies with overall business goals
- Budget Management: Work closely with Finance to develop and manage the Ticket Sales and Service budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize/optimize return on investment and energy
- Relationship Cultivation: Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including but not limited to season ticket members and Kansas City Corporate Community at-large
- Innovation and Data-Driving Decisions: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies that can enhance production in tickets sales
- Sales Enablement: Identify sales tools and technologies that enable the sales process and drive efficiency and effectiveness
What do you need to succeed?
Required Skills/Abilities
- A strong, proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including speaking, writing and active listening
- Proven ability to plan, implement and analysis performance results against objectives and KPIs
- Proven ability to attract new sales and retain existing customers
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Strong strategic planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Proficient with varying ticket systems and CRM Software
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated sales leadership experience in ticket sales, sports/entertainment industry or a related industry
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Special requirements of the Job:
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights (event evenings & overnight operation shifts), and holidays
- Ability to monitor company communications and respond to time-sensitive matters with senior executives
- Travel may be required
