The Position
The Associate Director US Business Technology (BT) Marketing Tech Lead is responsible for marketing technology ecosystem enabling Organon’s US Commercial function. This includes driving technology definition and delivering capabilities and solutions that enable US Commercial strategy realization. The candidate will work with cross-functional teams to guide the conceptualization, architecture, design, and delivery of solutions that leverage software as a service, data, automation, machine learning, and modern user-centric approaches to help US Commercial achieve optimal customer and consumer engagement.
Responsibilities
- Ensure US commercial teams have the marketing tools, systems, and data needed to excel in a competitive market. To ensure maximum business value can be achieved this will require matching business outcome potential with technical opportunities - balancing experiments vs scalable solution design and buy vs build options – for optimal return on investment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand current and future needs.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing technology strategy aligned with US and Global objectives and sales goals.
- Oversee the integration of various sales and marketing technologies and ensure seamless data flow between local and global systems.
- Coordinate cross-functional BT resources to ensure task alignment with business programs.
- Optimize the sales and marketing technology ecosystem, including marketing automation, agency tools, analytics, CRM, and sales automation.
- Guide development teams in building software capabilities with the highest business and customer impact.
- Manage and develop technology product backlog, as well as user stories for implementation.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies with a focus on customer and consumer experience, omnichannel engagement, cost savings, and scalable options.
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and safe handling of sensitive healthcare and patient data.
The role will report to the Associate Vice President, US Commercial BT, and will partner, plan and deliver the marketing technology agenda for US Commercial.
Required Experience and Skills
- At least 7 plus years relevant experience in BT, commercial business, or management.
- Ability to lead and promote collaboration across internal and external teams.
- Experience integrating commercial marketing solutions into a sales and marketing ecosystem.
- Knowledge of agile planning tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, business management or related discipline.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, medical devices or healthcare industry.
- Experience in a product line/product owner role preferred with SAFe certifications.
- Background in life science, sales and marketing functions.
- Experience in executing digital marketing campaigns, developing omnichannel user journeys, managing email campaigns, executing social media marketing, web analytics, and SEO.
- Experience in program and project management, demonstrating the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Expertise in project scoping, scheduling, risk management, and performance tracking.
- Working knowledge of platform like Sales Force Marketing Cloud, Sprinklr, Google Analytics, PiwikPro, GTM is highly desirable.
