Position Summary:
Walmart Commerce Technologies’ mission is to enable businesses worldwide to better serve their customers with technologies and SaaS solutions powered by Walmart. Our team was established in 2022 and we are transforming scaled Walmart technologies into white-label offerings for other retailers and sellers. We’ve launched Store Assist, an out-of-the box, mobile-first store fulfillment application and are accelerating our pipeline of future products.
As a Software Engineer on the Walmart Commerce Technologies team you will have the opportunity to work on commercializing mature enterprise systems and enabling them for retailers. You will build a new SaaS product and ensure engineering excellence.
As an experienced engineer you will have the chance to influence technical strategy for this new product and work with Senior software engineers. This is a great opportunity for career development!
What you'll do:
- Contribute to the full software development life cycle including requirements, design, implementation, testing and documentation.
- Write clean, maintainable code and develop new features and components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build and improve the product.
- Provide guidance and leadership to junior engineers on the team and promote best practices across the team.
- Ensure software systems are reliable, scalable and high-performing while troubleshooting issues when they arise.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Expertise in working with technologies such as Java, Spring, React, NodeJS, SQL Databases.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Experience working with large scale systems and event driven architectures.
- Strong communications and collaboration skills.
