Site Director

The Site Director will oversee the entire Case Work operation and will serve as the main liaison with the New York City Health and Hospitals officials. The Site Director's primary objective is to ensure seamless coordination with the leadership of NYC Health + Hospitals' HERRC program, ensure compliance, smooth functioning, and success of the casework operation. The Site Director plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, fostering a positive work environment, and achieving organizational objectives.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Estimated Starting Salary Range for Site Director: $95,000 to $115,000
- Pay commensurate with experience.

Site Director Responsibilities Include:
- Overseeing Cherokee LLC and subcontracted services in a manner ensuring that overall service delivery is provided in accordance with Cherokee's contract with NYC H+H.
- Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies, community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, and legal partners.
- Collaborate on innovation, best practices, and standards.
- Remain available for all program activities and have final authority and responsibility for all operations.
- Establish positive and productive relationships with stakeholders, staff, and asylum-seeking individuals.
- Maintain a professional commitment.
- Proactively ensure the daily reporting of casework services status.
- Ensure the proper allocation of space and infrastructure for casework staff to perform all administrative and service-related functions.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Site Director Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S).
- 3+ years of experience in program management
- Two years of relevant experience working with people who enter the U.S. seeking asylum.
- Spanish/English bilingual fluency required, and additional languages preferred include French, Haitian Creole, Wolof, Pular, Fulah, and other western African dialects.
- Must be able to lead multi-skilled and cross-functional teams including caseworkers to bring resolution to complex problems.
- Experience managing direct reports is a must.
- Team player and leader.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office and other programs.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, mediation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to foster a collaborative team approach to handle challenging situations.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Solid understanding of immigration laws, regulations, procedures, and benefits/entitlements.
- Experience working on-site in a congregate housing setting.
- Experience working with the NYC H+H.
- Must be organized as well as have excellent verbal, written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with asylum-seeking individuals, collaborating agencies, and community professionals.
- Strong customer service/hospitality background, preferably with immigrant populations.
- Able to effectively manage significant administrative and process documentation.
- A self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision and work independently.
- Able to prioritize and be accountable for timeliness to complete projects in a timely manner.
- Possess sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
- Ability to organize, multitask, and prioritize duties and responsibilities efficiently.
- Past applicable job experience may include, but is not limited to: Site Manager, Regional Manager, and/or Operations Manager.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
