Job Description
Experience Designers at U.S. Bank are customer obsessed in developing human-centered experiences that provide personalized, clear, helpful, and inclusive digital plus human solutions for our customers. Experience designers consider the why, what, and how of product use to help identify where user needs intersect with business goals across the entire user journey.
This leader will leverage human-centered design methods (design-thinking, service design, research/insights, etc.) to plan, create, and present persuasive, engaging, and strategic ideas that influence product roadmaps and demonstrate a solution’s potential for success.
As the senior-most Content Experience Designer, reporting to the Head of Experience Design, you will be responsible for setting and executing the content design vision for the entire organization. Leading a decentralized team, you will shape how content influences and enhances user experience across all product lines.
You will work cross-functionally with leaders in UX, Product, Agile and Engineering to drive business objectives through strategic content initiatives, while ensuring consistency, clarity, and engagement across all touchpoints. This role requires a visionary leader who can balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on leadership, driving content initiatives that enhance user satisfaction and business growth.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically, 10+ years of relevant experience in content design, content strategy, or UX writing, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role. Proven success leading large, decentralized teams and delivering content strategies at scale.
- Effective presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing distributed teams. Experience working within a cross-functional leadership structure.
- Experience leading content initiatives for complex, multi-product ecosystems.
- Proven track record of building and optimizing content processes and systems in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in establishing scalable content processes for creation, review, and delivery in a decentralized environment, while ensuring workflows are optimized for efficiency, quality, and consistency.
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there’s an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $145,180.00 – $170,800.00 – $187,880.00
