Aston Carter Director Of Strategic Sourcing Of Food Manufacturing in Chaska, Minnesota
Description:
Oversees the demand planning and procurement systems for all divisions and is responsible for the supplier negotiations and analysis of the company’s purchasing function.
Key job functions include successful negotiations and management of supplier contracts, developing and maintaining an understanding of market conditions impacting raw material costs, partnering with internal departments in pursuit of cost reductions, and sustaining our supplier quality system.
Recruits and maintains suppliers that provide high-quality products and services at a better price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.
Responsible for managing all third-party manufacturing partnerships (co-manufacturers).
Evaluates vendor quotations that utilize appropriate negotiations and purchasing techniques to ensure quality price, delivery, and service.
Designs, implements, manages, and monitors inventory and purchasing reporting systems to meet organizational requirements.
Works as a team leader or team member in the New Product Request (NPR) process, researching stakeholder requirements and documenting RFP or obtaining quotes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Must Haves:
- 10-15 years of experience
- 5+ years of leadership experience within a manufacturing setting
- Diversified Category Management and contract negotiation
Nice to Haves:
- Experience within the food and beverage industry
- Team player mentality
