What you’ll do
- As the Site Quality Director for Archer you will report directly to our Head of Quality, you will have the responsibility for overseeing the Quality Management System and quality functional support for aircraft production, flight operations, and delivery occurring in Georgia.
- Take a key leadership role in the development and deployment of quality procedures, and standards to ensure Archer meets AS9100 and FAA requirements.
- Lead the establishment of an aircraft inspection plan during the test and production phases of the program at Covington
- Execute / Oversee the assurance process for the Midnight program incorporating risk based approach to inspection
- Lead the development and roll out of Advanced Product Quality Planning techniques such as PFMEAs, control plans and SPC and establish tools/processes to maintain the digital thread throughout the lifecycle
- Responsible for establishing and leading process quality for the purpose of improving process performance and stability through the effective deployment of process quality and statistical process control
- Responsible for ensuring the GA quality function stays within the overall quality budget requirements
- Develop & support long- and short-term planning, policies, programs and objectives
- Lead efforts to implement lean management systems, lean tools, and standardize key processes including materials management and quality systems
- Collaborate and positively influence cross-functional teams to integrate quality into all business processes
What you need
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial) with at least 10+ years’ experience
- Experience hiring, leading and managing hourly employees
- Experience with electronic MES systems and driving quality metrics to improve business performance
- Experience establishing quality oversight and review of contract manufacturing relationships
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment in aerospace or other highly regulated environments
- Knowledge of Quality Standards such as AS9100, AS9103, AS9145, and AS6500.
Bonus qualifications
- Experience establishing real time dashboards used throughout the organization
- Experience with flight line testing and working with the FAA during a production certification process
- Six Sigma Black/Green Belt, AS9100 Lead Auditor or ASQ Certified Quality Manager
- Experience with electric powertrain or aerospace composite assembly processes

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $173,400 - $204,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
