Job Description
The primary responsibility of the Director of Program & Operations is to work with the General Manager/Deputy Chief Program and Operations to ensure quality and fidelity of Think Together programs, support operations and oversight of the region. Moreover, Directors of Program and Operations are responsible for ensuring all Think Together policies and procedures are followed. The Director of Program and Operations must lead strategically, act intentionally, and work collaboratively across the Think Together platform to ensure organizational success.

PROGRAM
- Work with supervisor to ensure high quality program implementation.
- Communicate with school and district administrators as needed to maintain strong working relationships.
- Directly supervises Quality Assurance Coaches and other staff as assigned; supports, manages and evaluates performance.
- Positively represents Think Together with all external stakeholders and attends meetings as assigned.
- Ensures compliance with all funding requirements, including but not limited to California Department of Education, private, public and district funding.
- Guarantee contractual obligations to school districts, partners and other funders are met, as required.
- Ensure positive relationships between Think Together staff and stakeholders (e.g., school and district-level personnel, parents, school board members, students, community members, etc.).
- Visit sites regularly to ensure high quality program implementation and to coach Quality Assurance Coach-Trainers and other staff.
- Support program and performance expectations, monitor the end results and hold people accountable for strengthening both program and performance.
- Oversee the appropriate maintenance of comprehensive student records and reports as required.
OPERATIONS
- Supports the management of day-to-day operations by setting clear expectations, monitoring end results, and holding people accountable to goal achievement.
- Plan and manage operational budgets, reporting anticipated variances and managing expenditures.
- Forecast staffing demand and requirements and devise strategies to fill needs; Collaborate with Human Capital staff related to the talent management process and recruitment efforts of full-time and part-time staff.
- Support regional operations in maintaining frequent, collaborative and effective communication with Regional Human Capital team.
- Supports regional hiring, volunteer recruitment, and employee management.
- Ensure compliance with risk management and safety protocols.
- Supports business development and retention.
- Participate in social media platforms to promote and increase awareness about Think Together.
- Communicate regularly and fully with Regional staff and attend required meetings.
- Analyze and synthesize data to diagnose problems and strategize solutions.
- Supports and supervises regional data and evaluations.
- Monitors and manages organization-wide/regional Program and Operations calendar.
- Demonstrates effective project and time management skills.
- Utilizes program manual to ensure consistent program and operational practices.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement other plans or management requirements as needed.
- Oversee, direct and review all direct reports and collaborate on management of shared reports.
- Participate in community events.
- Supervise, train and develop subordinates in line with the objectives, policies and procedures of the organization.
- Complete supervisory responsibilities in a timely and thorough manner.
- Maintain highest degree of confidentiality in student, staff and management matters.
- All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in social service, education or topic area; master’s degree desirable.
- At least 5 years of increasingly responsible positions within the field of education, with at least 3 years of management experience.
- Think Together experience preferred.
- Successful completion of Think Together assigned trainings.
- Experience in a similar position with another afterschool provider, desired.
- After school and/or district administrative experience a plus.
Background Checks/Testing
- Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting).
- Provide a clear TB test.
Compensation Range: $105,000.00/ Yr. - $113,400.00/ Yr.
