POSITION SUMMARY: The VP, Business Transformation & 80/20 is responsible for developing a comprehensive enterprise strategy for a sustainable 80/20 program supporting company growth objectives while expanding profitability, including customer, product line, manufacturing footprint, and production process simplification and optimization. The right candidate will be skilled in the use of 80/20 workstreams and related data/analytics tools and processes to develop a roadmap for transformative, value add change transformation to reduce complexity while enhancing overall business agility. S/he understands how growth, profitability, and culture can be transformed utilizing the 80/20 approach, with experience leading a mid-large size manufacturing organization through the full life cycle of 80/20 implementation and adaptation.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Possess a deep understanding of methodology for a full 80/20 implementation including Quads, Quartiles, Segmentation, Product Line Simplification, P&L Implementation, and lean manufacturing initiatives. Ability to articulate the 80/20 value proposition, change management implications, and effectively guide the organization to successful implementation and adaptation.
- Develop/build a team of 80/20 SME’s (Office of Transformation) to develop/drive commitment to 80/20 Quad Management across all functions and geography; create and convey a compelling concept for clients to foster support for 80/20 solutions.
- Responsible for the development and execution of 80/20 in production processes in accordance with the Production System (GPS) standards to drive enterprise manufacturing excellence in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives for productivity, efficiency and resource/asset optimization.
- Use quantitative and qualitative analysis to understand, evaluate, and apply recommended solutions to create value add, creating a culture of continuous improvement based on lean manufacturing principles, with consistent standard of systems, processes to optimize safety, quality, sourcing/materials management, cost out and customer satisfaction (‘raving fans’).
- Develop and foster effective working relationships with regional leaders and global functional leaders; demonstrated skill in leading by influence across functions and global geography to impact change.
- Instill ownership and accountability, with P&L Leaders owning the 80/20 processes, utilizing the tools as appropriate and taking necessary actions to eliminate complexity and focus on profitable growth.
- Train, mentor, and coach clients on 80/20 Profit & Growth strategies to enable further development and execution of strategies independently.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA/Master’s in relevant field preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience with a mid-large size global industrial manufacturing company.
- In-depth conceptual and practical understanding of 80/20 principles, with demonstrated experience in multi-divisional 80/20 deployment including PLM (directly or indirectly), manufacturing simplification (including manufacturing design by Quad) & Mfg. Ops leadership support, “Zero Up’ P&L segmentation/resource allocation, and commercial aspects of 80/20 policy deployment.

TRAVEL:
Ability to travel domestically and internationally 40-50%.
PAY & BENEFITS:
- Full-Time
- Salary: $250,000 – $350,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
