DutiesThe Deputy Chief Financial Officer (DCFO), Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) within U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Department of Homeland Security (DHS) assists the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in providing executive oversight over financial management, financial systems, budget and accounting, program analysis and evaluation, internal controls, cash management, credit management, and debt management policies, standards, and compliance guidelines and oversees corrective actions relating to audit recommendations.
As the DCFO, you will share the responsibility for all aspects of resource and program performance management including, but not limited to:
- Providing oversight and guidance to other executives and staff within OCFO and ICE on complex financial management, accounting, and audit-related issues, as well as internal control and other related activities.
- Directing the formulation and establishment of long- and short-range financial management planning for the agency's financial management functions.
- Providing insightful leadership for continued financial management transformation and improved customer service.
- Leading ICE's financial and accounting, budget, and asset management programs.
- Providing day-to-day executive leadership and direction to the managing directors in all phases of the agency's resource management.
- Ensuring timely and complete reporting and analysis of activities.
- Defining objectives and priorities, and coordinating activities associated with resource and program management functions.
- Developing and maintaining contact with all levels of DHS officials, other government agencies, Congress, and professional groups.

- You will serve a one-year probationary period unless you previously completed the probationary period in the SES.
- You must file a Public Financial Disclosure Report within 30 days of appointment.

- You must be able to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
