The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.
The Regional F&I Director will support and develop the F&I consultants, ensuring profitability, compliance, and revenue growth for the western region.
What will you do?
- Support F&I activity within the region.
- Collaborate with General Managers (GMs) to optimize Finance and Insurance (F&I) department performance, focusing on Production per Vehicle Retailed (PVR) and product penetrations.
- Partner with GMs to recruit new staff and minimize turnover in the F&I department.
- Ensure effective onboarding and training for new hires.
- Assist GMs in evaluating and managing the F&I department.
- Ensure adherence to all compliance policies and report any violations to the GM and National VP of Finance and Insurance.
- Stay updated on federal and state regulations, including Red Flags, OFAC, Privacy Notice, credit applications, and safeguards.
- Ensure all F&I staff are ACE certified.
- Ensure new Finance and Insurance consultants are trained on company policies and systems, including but not limited to: F&I product training, Darwin menu training, and digital contracting training.
- Continuously improve the skills of F&I staff through organized training sessions, including boot camps, Focus Meetings and Development visits.
- Actively take part in T/O to F&I training as needed, among other sales/FI training.
- Help with deal closures and resolve any issues with unresolved spots or Contracts in Transit (CITs).
- Maintain strong relationships with lenders to meet their expectations.
- Assist with desking practices and deal flow management.
- Ensure minimal product leakage and maximize relationships with Assurant by working closely with their field force.
- Monitor and resolve any Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) issues.
- Provide regular reporting to General Manager, Market Director, and other stakeholders to include activity detail, accomplishments, insights and other evaluations.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree required, Master’s preferred.
- Extensive knowledge and experience within Automotive Retail and general knowledge of areas, departments and/or function(s) within and across other disciplines.
- Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.).
- 8+ years’ experience, including 5+ at a leadership level; multiple levels of reporting relationships strongly preferred.
- Thorough understanding of federal and state regulations affecting automotive finance, including Red Flags, OFAC, Privacy Notices, and credit application.
- Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
- Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.

Pay:
We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $112,160.00 - $176,645.00 USD annually for full-time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay and bonus earnings.
