Transaction Execution Services
Our Transaction Execution Services group brings a methodical and action-oriented approach to identify and create value for our clients. We provide private equity buyers and sellers with a broad continuum of knowledge and tools for diligence, merger planning and post-merger integration, carve-outs (stand-alone and integrated), and sale preparation.
The team combines Integration and Separation Management Office (IMO / SMO) expertise with deep finance, accounting, technology, supply chain, operations, and Private Equity knowledge across a range of different type of engagements, including pre-deal (e.g. operational and carve-out planning) and post-deal (e.g. integration planning, execution, and tracking). As a Director, you will be a vital member of the team managing and executing IT M&A projects across sectors, supporting our client service team in developing and executing strategies for transactions.
This role will be based in our NYC office location and is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work remotely 2 days a week, blending the best of both worlds for efficiency and collaboration. Ideal candidates should be local to the desired location.
What You’ll Do:
This position requires an ability to engage directly with client functional business leadership, lead and execute complex IT projects in a transaction context and speed, communicate across multiple stakeholder groups, and lead change within a client organization. Every member is responsible for delivering insights, recommendations, and team leadership as part of their role. Key responsibilities include:
- IT Due Diligence: Assess clients’ current state of IT, identify key areas of risk, and provide key recommendations for post-investment execution related to IT spend, IT organizational structure, business applications (e.g. ERP, HRIS, CRM, WMS, BI, etc.), cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and software development practices (e.g. SDLC, technologies/tools, etc.)
- IT Mergers, Acquisitions, & Carve-Outs: Set strategy and oversee the integration and carve-out of all IT-related aspects of the transaction. This high intensity process includes combining or separating infrastructure, applications, people, and processes.
- IT System Selection: Guide clients through the process of making their most critical and long-lasting IT decisions by uncovering key business requirements, researching potential providers, assessing alternative IT vendors across all relevant section criteria, and building consensus around the selection choice.
- IT Program and Project Management: Our clients often need support executing their most critical projects. Our team members serve to fill key management roles as part of these projects. We deliver through a structured project management framework to ensure successful completion, working with client resources, vendors, and consultants.
Ideally, You Have:
- 6-10+ years of experience in IT M&A and technology consulting
- A broad understanding of various technical areas and operating model elements to be assessed in a transaction setting – on-premise implementations, hybrid cloud environments, enterprise cybersecurity posture, and data center solutions
- Ability to lead projects from pre-acquisition to post-close 100-day planning
- Hands-on experience with IT due diligence, IT integration, and IT function stand-up in carve-out scenarios
- Competency in at least two or more of the following technical disciplines: enterprise systems implementation, IT architecture and infrastructure management, systems integration, business process mapping, data migration, software development
- Consulting firm / industry experience preferred
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to influence senior internal and external stakeholders
- Superior problem-solving and analytical skills that can be utilized to translate disparate data into meaningful insights for our clients
- Hands-on experience working with compliance frameworks preferred – HIPAA, PCI, GDPR, NIST, ISO, etc.
- Travel to client site as needed

Salary: $200,000 to $230,000 + benefits + bonus
Actual compensation packages are determined by evaluating a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, education, certifications, cost of labor and internal equity.
