ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leverage prior HR manufacturing experience to provide comprehensive global support and leadership within all facets of Human Resources including insights on culture and people best practices.
- Actively contribute to the strategy and performance of the organization at the board level by being an engaged and value-added member of the leadership team, contributing to the business at large.
- Experience with labor laws in the UK.
- Promote an inclusive culture that focuses on diverse backgrounds, skill sets, and opinions.
- Effectively communicate, establish trust, and maintain positive employee relations with all levels of management and employees.
- Ensure HR policies and practices are effectively communicated and compliant with all applicable local law/regulations to minimize the company’s exposure to legal risks. Willing and able to leverage experience with employee relations to provide hands-on coaching and guidance for employees at all levels of the organization.
- Provide objective, data-driven, and informed advice and guidance to the President and other members of the leadership team.
- Actively identify gaps, propose and implement changes necessary to mitigate risks/issues.
- Recruit, identify, and develop leaders/employees to ensure they are capable of delivering on today and future company needs and capabilities.
- Act as the performance improvement driver, provoking positive changes in people management.
- Facilitate the creation of viable succession plans and actionable development plans for key talent and critical roles.
- Challenge the organizational structure and propose changes to increase the effectiveness of any one organization and the company at large.
- Recommend best practices and new approaches for policies and procedures to continually improve the efficiency of the Human Resources function and services performed.

Health & Safety:
- Report and take required action regarding injuries, incidents, medical, and accidents required by policy.
- Make the health, safety, protection of rights, and the development of all employees your primary responsibilities.
- Effectively manage medical and first aid emergencies.
- Follow all agency safety/medical related policies and procedures.
- Follow fire evacuation and disaster procedures correctly and in a timely manner.
- Report unsafe situations immediately; ensuring safety is imperative.
- Ensure pertinent emergency telephone numbers are readily available.
- Report symptoms and signs of communicable diseases immediately.
- Consistently use universal precautions.
- Report any incident that could potentially result in negative reactions from the community, law enforcement officers, and other agencies to the supervisor immediately.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS, and TRAININGS
- Minimum 15 years of HR experience in a professional industry with at least 5 years in manufacturing, preferably in the healthcare or scientific industry.
- Proven ability to achieve results and positively impact organizations.
- An undergraduate degree is required, preferably MS in HR or related field, or MBA.
- Certification in SHRM preferred.
- Excellent ability to communicate orally and in writing in English.
- Extensive experience in all aspects of HR.
- Well-developed literacy, numeracy, and computer skills with a technical aptitude.
- This position requires regular travel to all sites within NJ and CT locations.
COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
- Microsoft: Office 365; SharePoint; Teams; Visio; and OneNote preferred.
- Working knowledge of Workday strongly preferred.
- Ability to operate media equipment such as tablets, smartphones, and other electronic equipment.
- Ability to work with general office equipment.
- Ability to work with and understand databases a must and the ability to learn technical skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Shall have essential physical skills; be able to run, squat, stoop/bend, kneel, climb stairs, and be able to lift at least 50 pounds (or ¼ own body weight).
- Shall have adequate vision, reading, writing, and documentation skills, and hearing to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Must have enough endurance to perform tasks over long periods of time.
- Will be engaged in speaking, sitting, walking, driving, listening, and communicating both orally and in writing while performing his or her duties.
- Must be able to listen and respond to questions and instructions.
