Job Summary
The Unit Dir-Ethics & Compliance role will oversee, build, and maintain the compliance and ethics program for the assigned unit. Develop procedures and controls to reasonably identify and address procedures inconsistent with applicable laws, policies, and regulations. This role includes day-to-day operations of the unit and providing leadership and development for team members. The role will demonstrate proven experience in compliance-related matters, proactive solution-oriented approaches to reduce risk, and a proven track record of service delivery experience to internal and external stakeholders. This position will build and sustain close working relationships with unit leadership, peers, team members, and business partners to provide compliance guidance and support and to ensure information is shared diplomatically and tasks are completed effectively.

Responsibilities
- Job Duty 1: Develop a program within the unit to maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies, including the University System of Georgia's Code of Conduct.
- Job Duty 2: Manage the annual audit of policies and recommend changes to policy as needed for compliance purposes.
- Job Duty 3: Review policies and practice for compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations, and with policies established by the Board of Regents.
- Job Duty 4: Develop and deliver training in support of the Institute's Ethics and Compliance Program.
- Job Duty 5: Conduct risk assessments of compliance areas within unit; present findings and recommendations to unit leadership.
- Job Duty 6: Conduct internal investigations involving unit employees; present findings and recommendations to unit leadership.
- Job Duty 7: Lead and execute transformational projects related to unit compliance priorities.
- Job Duty 8: Foster collaborative relationships with team members and provide oversight and guidance on a regular basis.
- Job Duty 9: Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Risk Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional
- Attainment of Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional within one year following employment.
Required Experience: Four to six years of job-related experience.

Proposed Salary
$113,528-$148,162
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Skills: In-depth knowledge of compliance auditing principles and processes. Working knowledge of institutional policies as they apply to ethics and compliance including time reporting, procurement, and travel reporting.
