The opportunity
This role leads and manages all operational readiness activities associated with launches in the US commercial region. The key deliverables are that all launches meet the Commercial and Supply Chain requirements of on time and in full (appropriate supply and replenishment plans).
How you’ll spend your day
Responsibilities:
- Main Supply Chain focal point to regional commercial / portfolio teams for launches.
- Define operational strategy and baseline for readiness activities based on template checklist
- Work with site/EMSO launch and planning teams and above site TGO functions to ensure availability of a detailed executable operational readiness plan including scenario analysis
- Ensure monthly NPI meetings occur with sites and relevant stakeholders to present new projects, monitor progress, and risk mitigate operational issues
- Escalate issues and needed decisions into appropriate forums
- Utilize SCM processes and tools (S&OP, control tower etc.) for demand review, supply readiness monitoring and escalation; ensure sites have visibility to launch demand
- Ensure smooth transition to commercial SC planning and support as needed up to 6 months post launch
- Ongoing assessment of launch readiness risks, contingency planning & execution; lead “lessons learned” processes
- Work according to the professional guidance by global launch management
- Monitor launch inventory and identify/mitigate potential write-off risks
- Actively participate and support appropriate launch forums
- Lead and facilitate TGO launch forums
- Meet launch KPI’s for the region
- Validate LRP & AOP volumes for launches
- Manage team of Project Managers
- Perform other duties as assigned or required by business needs
Your experience and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or science/ engineering
- 10+ years Pharmaceutical Experience (with focus on new products/launches); 5+ years Supply Chain/Operations experience preferred
- Go to market process understanding, GMP Requirements, Cost and finance processes, plant capacity models, ERP systems
