Oracle Senior Director, Network Availability - Hartford, Connecticut
Manage a team that operates and troubleshoots Physical Networking in Public Cloud.
We are seeking a senior network operations leader with the skills, experience, and passion for operations to shepherd our programs, automation, and team to the next plateau of operational excellence. Building upon the solid foundation developed over the past five years, you will have the opportunity to help productize network operations so that OCI meets its business goals onboarding new customers and delivering new service models. Your enthusiasm and experience fostering an operational mindset across a broad spectrum of engineering organizations is critical in achieving success in the role.
Responsibilities
- Supervise teams responsible for global network operations of the Public Cloud.
- Demonstrate ability to hire, develop, and retain senior technical and managerial leaders.
- Manage a large, globally distributed workforce working with corporate and local HR to administer performance review and management programs.
- Lead and own the long-term strategy for your area and contribute to the strategy for the wider organization.
- Develop and execute annual roadmaps, with the ability to pivot to changing business requirements.
- Drive programs to effectively monitor and measure the productivity and efficiency of your workforce and identify opportunities to improve work/life balance as well as drive operational excellence.
- Lead operations improvement programs across the physical and virtual networking domains.
- Serve as an ambassador to OCI customers, addressing performance concerns and delivering long-term remediation strategies to meet contractual SLAs.
- Develop, grow, and maintain data-driven metric programs that speak to both the operational and business status of the physical networking domain.
- Partner with external organizations to develop and deliver operational excellence programs across the OCI and OCI internal partner domains.
- Serve as an operational leader with OCI, setting the bar by demonstrated behavior and outcomes, to establish Networking as the operational leader for the business.
- Coordinate across sister teams for the development and delivery of tooling frameworks and automation platforms to support network reliability teams in the elimination of toil.
- Develop and deliver “ops in box” frameworks to support network operational support for sovereign region environments.
- Experience with the software development lifecycle and the development of network automation solutions for large-scale cloud networking environments.
- Solid understanding of key networking technologies needed for cloud including: network design and fabrics, networking protocols, network automation, network telemetry and common hardware platforms.

US: Hiring Range: from $142,900 to $338,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
