The Senior Manager, Global Events Security, is responsible for overseeing and implementing the standards in place for the safety and security strategy to prevent harm to persons, damage to property, loss of revenue for the event, and damage to the brand. This position will ensure consistency and a high level of execution and coordination of security measures for the event. This is a senior-level position with a high degree of responsibility and strategic impact on the business function. This position will report to the Sr. Director, Global Events Security.
Responsibilities
- Attend pre-event walk-throughs and calls with marketing to understand the event and layout, assess the safety and security requirements, and identify the risks, threats, and emergency response planning to develop a customized security plan.
- Partner with peers within the department on risk and threat assessments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities and apply security measures to mitigate them.
- Partner with marketing, venue or hotel security, and local law enforcement to facilitate effective security planning, strategy, and communication and coordination during emergencies.
- Partner with the security vendors on the event by supervising and leading the training and preparing the security schedules.
- Collaborate, plan, and manage security support for executives, entertainers, and government officials, ensuring compliance and adherence with country-specific laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Lead and influence security matters and requirements with cross-functional teams to develop and execute security policies, procedures, and practices designed to the specific needs of the event.
- Responsible for ensuring that best practices in proactive and preventative security measures and contingency planning are integrated into the overall planning process for events.
- Responsible for resolving and documenting security events and/or problems, including those affecting anyone at the event.
- Collaborate with marketing and vendors to minimize expenses and maximize budgeted results while maintaining optimal operating efficiency.
- Perform other general security duties as needed to support the department or event.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree with 5+ years of security/operations experience, preferably with a concentration on corporate event security, and 1+ years of supervising. If the diploma requirement is not met, you must have 6+ years of relevant experience in security or related fields to support the knowledge and competencies described in the job description.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Strict confidentiality, professionalism, dependability, and situational sensitivity are essential.
Strong skills in communication (both written and verbal), ability to multi-task, and strong project management skills are necessary. Self-starter and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks.
The ability to speak Portuguese or additional languages is a plus but not a requirement.
Must have the proper travel documents in hand to travel internationally and domestically and the willingness and drive to support multiple events. When there are multiple events in a month, we try and limit the travel to one or two per month.
Must be able to adapt and respond successfully to changes in situations, planning, or information.

US: Hiring Range: from $70,600 to $141,300 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
