The Product: Amazon EC2’s accelerated computing instances features GPUs, FPGAs and Amazon built chips to enable customers of all sizes to turbo charge their deep learning/AI, HPC, graphics, and visualization applications. Customers around the world – from startups, to research institutes, to established enterprises – use EC2’s accelerated computing instances to develop and deploy the next generation of intelligent services.
The Team: The EC2 Accelerated Computing PM team brings new customers to EC2, and the team is in charge of delivering EC2 instances that offer the best price/performance in the cloud, are quick to get started with, and easy to scale elastically. The team builds and operates products that are defining the experience and economics of smart applications, and you’d be helping us make history with the next generation cloud computing platforms.
You: We’re seeking Product Managers who have a passion for developer-focused products, work backwards from their customers and move fast to keep up with the quickly evolving market landscape. You’d be joining a core group of experienced EC2 Product Managers who have helped build and scale products at Amazon such as the most powerful GPU training platform in the cloud and industry’s first instance featuring custom built accelerator for machine learning inference.
Key job responsibilities
You would be responsible for:
- Developing detailed and crisp business requirements for product specifications and service architecture
- Engaging with AWS customers, sales and business development teams to understand customer feedback and crisply understand their pain points.
- Working closely with engineering teams, design, and program management in an agile environment to deliver products to market
- Managing prioritization and trade-offs between customer experience, performance and operational support
- Driving product launches, including working with public relations team, executives, finance, marketing, and legal stakeholders for your product
- Proactively identifying and resolving issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
- Defining high-quality roadmaps based on team strategy and vision
- Interfacing and partnering with all levels of the AWS and Amazon business leadership
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BS degree in computer science or electrical engineering
- 10+ years of technical product management with internet business experience
- Experience delivering technology products/services in a high growth environment where priorities shift fast.
- Strong track record of delivering compelling products
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues simply and convincingly to a wide range of audiences
- Strong leader who can prioritize well, and who understands how to drive focus and excellence within a strong, talented team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- An MBA and a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (or the equivalent), or professional work experience as a hardware engineer.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Great analytic and problem-solving skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $236,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position will remain posted until filled.
