The Global Record-to-Report Operations team, within the Finance Hub, is tasked with delivering the end-to-end operational accounting process and activities, uphold quality and gain efficiencies across finance functions.
We are hiring for a Regional Indirect Tax Director (Americas), for the Company’s Global Indirect Tax Center of Excellence (ITX COE). This role will report to the Global Indirect Tax Senior Director and will support the creation of regional Indirect ITX COE and lead the regional ITX function to ensure adherence to indirect tax compliance & regulations across the region.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks
- Member of the Global R2R Operations Team, Regional Indirect Tax Director supports the Indirect tax operations in the region to ensure effective indirect tax process and optimal technology, data, tools, processes, vendor management (3rd party service providers, in case the ITX compliance process has been outsourced in the region) and resourcing.
- Will support creation and set the strategy for and lead the regional ITX COE (ITX Senior Managers and Consultants) and be responsible for ensuring the team has the necessary resources to operate effectively.
- Leads the regional ITX function to ensure adherence to indirect tax regulations & compliance across all countries in the region.
- Together with the Global ITX Senior Director will set the strategic direction for the regional indirect tax process and align it with corporate and regional business goals as well as external trends e.g. digitalization of tax reporting toward authorities in the region.
- Together with the Global ITX Senior Director, responsible for establishing and enforcing regional indirect tax policies and governance frameworks i.e. developing and implementing standardized operating procedures for indirect tax compliance. Ensuring regional consistency in tax practices and documentation with the global ITX policy framework.
- Proactively identifies, assesses, and mitigates regional indirect tax reporting risks and opportunities. Collaborates with corporate, regional OU and other stakeholders on indirect tax audits and disputes.
- Works with direct reports (ITX Senior Managers) in the region and partners with Corporate Tax and OUs on risks and exposures of current and potential company structures, potential business set-ups and advises on indirect tax neutral solutions/solutions with less budget impact, with involvement of an advisor if required.
- Close collaboration with tax technology team on a regional implementation of technology-based tax determination and reporting solutions. Contributes to regional initiatives that standardize and automate work across the networked organization, and supports changes to policies, procedures, and systems where they can alleviate constraints, risks, and issues.
- Business partnering and interaction with Corporate Tax, 3rd party service providers, Operating Units and R2R Service Delivery Lead in the region.
Experience
- Minimum of 6 years of tax reporting/compliance and advisory experience in a multi-national company with a global footprint across different cultures and time zones.
- Master’s degree in finance or tax law/law is preferred. Professional tax certification would be desired.
- Minimum of 3 – 4 years of People Leadership experience required.
- English language fluency.
Functional Skills:
- Indirect Tax Expertise: Strong knowledge of Indirect Tax Regulations in Americas region.
- Tax technology: Understanding of ERP and indirect tax reporting tools and systems (e.g. SAP, Vertex, MS D365).
- Change management: Relevant involvement in change projects and initiatives, with an operational excellence mindset.
- Process follow-through: Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, understanding risk and urgency in the preparation and delivery of an appropriate response balanced against competing deliverables.
- Multi-tasking: Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with ability to multi-task with proven follow-through and adherence to changing priorities and deadlines.

Salary: $138,000 - $160,000
