Essential Functions
- Directs, monitors, and inspects contractor construction activities and completes related documentation to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, regulatory requirements, and construction agreements.
- Attend construction meetings with government representatives (city, county, state) to obtain and provide construction project updates, and relay the information to the crews and management.
- Provides accurate and complete field construction documentation including a detailed list of materials used on the job and ensures timely processing of related records to maintain the integrity and accuracy of company records.
- Reviews and prepares daily progress reports for compliance with applicable contracts and agreements.
- Responds to customer inquiries for construction or conversion information, provides customers with project status updates and post-installation troubleshooting to ensure complete customer satisfaction with the service delivery process.
- Reviews vendor invoices, verifies charges and quantities for work performed, and processes as necessary.
- Reviews and verifies the accuracy and completeness of as-built construction drawings.
- Occasionally works night and call outs to support the service delivery process.
Essential Functions Continued
- Occasional travel to various gas districts to support the service delivery process.
- Randomly performs non-destructive and destructive testing on plastic and steel joints for QA/QC and system integrity.
- Coordinates work with contractors throughout the build process for compliance with project scope and specifications.
- Observes and inspects all phases of work performed by contractors to assure conformance with company standards and procedures. Interprets blueprints and drawings of work to be performed.
- Responsible for QA/QC and inspecting work performed by one or more contract crews.
- Performs other duties as required.
Education Description
- Requires a high school education or GED.
Experience
- Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of gas construction or related work experience.
- Requires a valid/current state issued driver's license.
- Large tapping/plugging, high pressure/high stress pipeline experience is a plus.
- CWI, NACE-AMPP (CP-Coating) certifications are a plus.
