Central Florida Communities, Inc. (CFC) has warm, welcoming, home-inspired facilities and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities in Orange, Brevard, Lake, and Seminole Counties.
CFC operates three 64-bed Intermediate Care Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled (ICF/DD's), Howell Branch Court, Lake View Court, and Washington Square. As a member of our staff, you will be a part of one of these living centers and provide vital around-the-clock care, which includes nursing and medical oversight, to our residents.

Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to coordinate and oversee all aspects of the Behavior Unit, including but not limited to staffing, daily operations (programming, active treatment, attendance to the day program), training requirements, environmental adaptations, staff competencies/interactions, documentation requirements, and community integration.
- Work with assigned Board Certified Behavior Analyst/Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst in providing supervision to DSP BA staff in the Behavior Unit, including 24-hour on-call responsibility, five days per week, and weekends as assigned.
- Ensure ongoing quality of care of individuals by conducting unannounced observations in the Behavior Unit to monitor overall operation of the home, compliance with regulatory requirements, activity, staff/client interactions, safety, environment, and client appearance. Provide quality feedback to staff including DSP Supervisors.
- Communicate issues on a regular basis to the Program Director and BCBA/BCaBA on relevant issues pertaining to the Behavior Unit operations and DSP BA performance.
- Demonstrates proper use of Safety Care procedures and all competencies that are designed to manage aggression, self-injury, and/or property destruction.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services.
- Experience in a human services setting (experience in a human services setting in lieu of education will be considered).
- 21 years of age.
- Valid Florida driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervisor experience preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Standard use of work station.
- Frequent bending and standing.
- Must demonstrate the ability to lift unassisted at least fifty (50) lbs.
