Senior Director, Go-to-Market Digital and Application Innovation

The Digital and App Innovation team at Microsoft is at the center of an incredible transformation across the market that will drive a billion new applications, accelerate app modernization initiatives, and bring AI into the core of nearly every business application and the app development lifecycle and toolchain.
We are seeking a marketing leader to drive our go-to-market strategy across this market-leading portfolio of technologies spanning App Development and App Platform services. This leader will report directly to the General Manager for Digital and App Innovation as a dedicated member of the business unit's marketing leadership team. This individual will play a critical role in driving success and growth across the Digital and App Innovation team. Responsibilities:
- Building a proactive strategy to support go-to-market for all developer and app platform offerings, partnering across marketing, sales, partners, business planning, and more.
- Identify and direct marketing strategies for customer acquisition, adoption, customer advocacy, and renewal of a product and/or solution.
- Partner within marketing to define Go-to-Market strategies and plans, including marketing mix, investments, product placement, and incentive strategies to deliver customer and partner success, resulting in revenue, growth, and share outcomes.
- Track performance against success metrics and proactively act on performance.
- Develop an engagement plan to interact with customers and partners via diverse and evolving channels.
- Driving Portfolio Planning for the developer and application platform solutions, bringing clarity to this innovative, market-leading portfolio through new and enhanced products aligned to major news moments, Microsoft events, and strategic marketing themes.
- Growing undeniable, sustainable market leadership for Microsoft as the preferred environment for building and deploying intelligent applications.
- Curating high-impact messaging and core product themes and pillars aligned to customer value and impact.
- Surfacing these themes consistently through a proactive messaging and content program that aligns core messaging, and major product themes to new product introductions, partner expansion, major events and launches, and key solution milestones along with proactive initiatives aimed at core customer audiences.
- Delivering sales enablement and field support, including ongoing collaboration across the sales, partner, and engineering organizations to develop sales-ready collateral to support new product announcements, updates, portfolio changes, and annual solution programs.
- Develop content that best resonates with customer value and drive to high utilization and value with global field teams.
- Create a feedback loop with Sales to ensure their buy-in, utilization, and continuous improvement.
- Create strategic partnerships and participate in pre-sales meetings with customers.
- Build momentum and growth with Startup organizations, software development companies, and organizations that are new to Microsoft, strengthening Microsoft's position as the preferred company to build and grow the next AI-powered market leader.
- Partner with a range of teams to create a unified value proposition that brings together products, programs, partners, and market investments that all demonstrate Microsoft's unique value.
- Work across a global virtual team to bring this program to life at major events, proactive market leadership initiatives, and through always-on programs.
- Drive excellence across all major Launch moments and key Events, proactively defining success criteria and goals, messaging and value propositions aimed at the target audience and key strategies for success.
- Drive operational execution across all events to ensure maximum results, orchestrating across a broad marketing team, global communications, product, legal, business planning, global demand, and more.
- Build clear and compelling measurements of success to better understand results and to create a continuous improvement cycle.
