The Executive Director is responsible for staff and academic HR management, policies, and procedures at UC Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR) including central HR functions, operations, and the HR Business Partners team, which in turn provides professional HR guidance and support to clientele groups with the objective of adding value to the Division. The Executive Director - UC ANR Human Resources, reports to the UC ANR Associate Vice President - Business Operations.
The Executive Director is responsible for driving integrated strategic HR programs and services that align with the business objectives and needs of senior leadership and clientele groups at UC ANR. The position has direct oversight over traditional central HR functions including Academic Personnel, Staff Personnel, Employee/Labor Relations, Recruitment, Staffing/Employment Compensation, Training and Development, and HR Information Systems Services.
The position provides leadership to the HR Business Partner Team, which works closely with client departments to identify service needs and ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and process improvement. The HR function at ANR serves Research and Extension Centers, UC Cooperative Extension offices, and ANR statewide and administrative units.
The position also functions with other central service areas as part of a consolidated HR Unit. This position has responsibility on issues involving budget, organizational coordination, and conflicts of interest directly to the Associate Vice President, Business Operations.
The Executive Director represents ANR Human Resources providing substantive participation on a wide range of ANR and UC systemwide work groups, task forces, and committees that impact the effective and efficient operation of HR services, and influences decisions and development of programs that enhance the effective operations of HR activities and programs at ANR.

This position is a career appointment that is 100% fixed.
Pay Scale: $134,000/year to $200,600/year
