We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering to oversee our Engineering and Drafting Departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and drafters, ensuring the successful completion of projects, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Product Engineering and Drafting Departments.
- Take ownership of new and existing product designs.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards with error-free shop drawings and design packages.
- Direct department activities to support other departments, design new products, modify existing designs, and manage product design improvement through revision tracking and traceability.
- Communicate project requirements and provide guidance on design modifications to stakeholders.
- Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in an Engineering field or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- Experience with building materials, curtain walls, storefronts, windows, composites, or sandwich panels is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering leadership role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving, project management, scheduling, and decision-making abilities.
