Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Partner to join our growing Commercial team at ivolve. The role covers the North of England and involves building strong working relationships with referrers and generating appropriate referrals. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years business development/commercial experience in social care, a good knowledge of the sector and excellent relationship building skills.
We are looking for someone who has a proven track record in a similar role and someone who is confident, articulate and happy to work as part of a growing team.
Main Responsibilities
- Generating referrals for services across the group with a view to achieving budgeting occupancy at all sites
- Building and developing strong working relationships with referrers and commissioners across the North of England
- Meeting referrers and commissioners face to face (or via MSTeams) on a regular basis
- Facilitating referrer visits to the service, working with the Manager to present each service well
- Identifying new contacts and initiating the relationship building process
- Reporting on unmet need and highlighting growth opportunities for ivolve
- Monitoring conversion rate in the North and report on any challenges
- Monitoring competitor activity and reporting any new developments
- Using the company CRM system to record contact with referrers and commissioners
- Monthly reporting on commissioner/referrer feedback
- Regular visits to the services
- Working alongside marketing to distribute and follow up compelling marketing collateral
- Attending conferences and events on behalf of the company
Skills and Experience
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a Business Development role within health and/or social care
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships quickly and, on occasion, from the very beginning
- Strong understanding of the social care market and its challenges
- Ability to work to targets
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships internally and externally
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to influence at all levels
- Able to manage relationships with tact and diplomacy
- Highly organised with excellent prioritisation skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of HubSpot or other CRM systems would be advantageous
