Summary: This position is located in the Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) division at the Atlanta Regional Office (RO). The VR&E Officer is responsible for all VR&E operations within the purview of the regional office. The efficiency with which the Management and Program Analyst carries out his/her duties directly impacts the ability of the VR&E Officer to provide the complete range of Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment services.
Responsibilities: Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- The Management Analyst (MA) is directly responsible to the VR&E Officer in several key areas.
- The MA serves as senior advisor to the administrative staff supervised by the Assistant VR&E Officer.
- Responsible for assisting the VR&E Chief and subordinate managers/supervisors by performing in-depth mission, process, and administrative systems analyses.
- Serves as a project manager and carries out a complete range of senior administrative support.
- Coordinates the work of the support staff to ensure that the manager can concentrate on mission management.
- Provides administrative/technical support to the manager in contract monitoring and all necessary actions.
- Initiates, directs, coordinates, and conducts studies involving realignment of services and methods of operations to promote efficiency and productivity.
- Conducts in-depth studies on the effectiveness of major processes in the VR&E Program and prepares technical reports with recommendations for compliance with VBA standards.
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Telework: Available as determined by agency policy.
Requirements: To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 09/30/2024. Applicants must have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks and meet time-in-grade requirements. For a GS-12 position, you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11. Specialized experience includes basic qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze, evaluate, and measure the effectiveness and efficiency of organizational operations.
Education: There is no educational substitution at this grade level.
