VP, Data & Security Center - Remote

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of IT to lead our IT. This strategic leadership role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of technology, business strategy, IT best practices and, aligned with the unique challenges and opportunities of the non-profit industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management and successful delivery of our IT portfolio of work and technology & support excellence, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies & goals, optimizing resource allocation, and driving the successful delivery of technology projects, support excellence and modern IT best practices. Additionally, the Vice President will continuously improve IT processes and services, collaborate with executives and other ACS Sr. Leaders to drive organizational innovation and technology strategy, understand the technology market and trends, and leverage those trends to drive ACS strategic outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, strong business acumen, and a track record of leading a team in delivering complex IT initiatives on time and within budget, successful experience in service excellence and technological stability all while demonstrating a people-first mindset, celebrating diversity, and fostering a culture of inclusion, innovation, collaboration & excellence within the organization.
This is a remote role and can be based anywhere in the US.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Security
- Oversee and management of all related security platforms and process that will mitigate security incidents and exposure, including working with other IT teams to execute a plan for patching, vulnerability scanning and identification, vulnerability remediation, ransomware management, encrypting, security labeling, and audit responses and remediation.
- Continuous Improvement in IT Risk Management
- Develop and drive IT Security strategy.
- Provide oversight to the development and execution of IT policies and procedures outside of security direct control.
- Ensure IT Documentation (policies, procedures, diagrams, etc.) is up-to-date, audits are seamless, systems have appropriate monitoring and environments have appropriate disaster recovery in place.
- Lead the creation of, socialization of, and execution of the information security policies and procedures.
- Review and meet Security team SLAs for Tickets (ServiceNow), Tasks/User Stories (Azure Dev Ops) Projects to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain a risk registry of all enterprise IT security risks.
- Maintain continually enhance NIST cybersecurity framework process for ACS.
- Translate business unit risk into prioritized action plans.
- Drive enterprise information security strategy based on a risk-based methodology.
- Perform internal and 3rd party vendor risk management to minimize risks to acceptable levels.
Data
- In coordination with CIO, oversee the development and execution of an ACS Enterprise Data Retention Policy that works in conjunction with ACS Enterprise Data Governance Policy.
- Oversee the development and execution of an ACS Enterprise Data Governance Policy.
- Ensure both Enterprise Data Retention and Enterprise Data Governance policies have regular reviews and updates are documented.
- Responsible for developing the information technology strategy for data storage, database administration, and management of data at ACS.
- Partner with the CIO to develop and prioritize the strategic digital roadmap including the technical capabilities, data strategy and programs required to help expand ACS’s data capabilities.
- Serve as a change agent to engage and educate the users on the capability and functionality data usage to enhance business.
- Create a strategic plan to drive data integration practices to ensure effective data interconnectivity within ACS ecosystem.
- Partner cross-functionally within IT to identify opportunities to integrate data solutions into the broader digital landscape at ACS to increase value and improve user experience and vice versa.
- Coach and mentor the team on design thinking to build technical solutions that enable current and future digital and data analytics strategies.
Architecture
- Provide oversight to ACS Enterprise Architecture.
- Plan, architect and execute medium to large projects, including the coordination of cross-functional resources.
- Lead the organization which will create, communicate, maintain, and ensure adherence to an architecture strategy documented in a master plan. Develop and promote modern architectural standards and practices that encourage the digitization of business processes which make inter- and intra-business connectivity, and partner collaborations, more efficient.
- Build and lead a team of innovative and motivated architects to deliver architectural roadmaps for ACS Enterprise.
- Provide executive leadership for the organization responsible for the cloud, infrastructure, platforms and security architecture, providing thought leadership and architecture services for all aspects of this domain. Drive adoption of an aligned vision for a modern Cloud architecture that supports agility, innovation, and resilience.
- Responsible for ACS enterprise data and analysis architecture, providing executive thought leadership and architecture services for all aspects of data services, including data platforms, advanced analytics, data visualizations, geospatial information services, real-world data acquisition and integration, and machine learning/AI activities.
FORMAL KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior leadership/management role.
- Minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible experience in various IT-related roles, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the technological landscape.
- Experience in non-profit industry is preferred.
SPECIALIZED TRAINING OR KNOWLEDGE
- Understanding of and experience in ERP, CRM, HCM, BIA, CMS, Enterprise Collaboration, SCM, Cloud Computing, IAM, Virtualization, Networking platforms and technologies.
- Knowledge of and experience in portfolio, project, and product management methodologies to support the SDLC.
- Demonstrated understanding of modern IT best practices.
- Demonstrate proficiency in IT contracting and budgeting processes, with the ability to effectively negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, optimize budget allocations to maximize value, minimize costs, and ensure management and timely payment of invoices and POs.
- Strong understanding of emerging technologies and their impact on business operations and customer journeys.
MANAGER SKILLS
- Coaching skills and ability to have the hard conversations around areas of opportunity.
- Ability to create SMART goals aligned to ACS and IT KPI and Strategy.
- Ability to provide strong assessments throughout the year in 1:1 discussions with their direct reports.
- Ability to perform accurate talent assessment within their team with understanding of proper scoring for End of Year reviews.
- Ability to ensure team is keeping up with Cybersecurity Industry training.

The starting rate is $180,000 to $215,000. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
