Job Overview
As the Director of Total Rewards, you will oversee the strategic creation, implementation, and ongoing improvement of our rewards programs. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will be integral in crafting programs that effectively motivate our workforce while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and direction of our compensation and benefits policies, objectives, and initiatives.
- Implement and manage comprehensive compensation and benefits programs that adhere to legal standards and align with organizational goals.
- Analyze industry trends and propose enhancements to maintain the competitiveness of our offerings.
- Supervise all facets of the compensation processes, including job evaluations, salary structures, and incentive plan development.
- Oversee the management of benefits programs, encompassing health and welfare, retirement, and work-life balance initiatives.
- Collaborate with external service providers as necessary.
- Ensure that departmental objectives are met within the established budgetary constraints.
Required Skills
- In-depth understanding of compensation and benefits principles.
- Proficient in benefits administration software, compensation management software, and HRIS systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional communication skills with an ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Strong organizational capabilities for managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Detail-oriented with robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related discipline; a graduate degree is highly regarded.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a compensation management position, with a solid grasp of compensation and benefits principles.
- At least 2 years of experience in supporting executive compensation and benefits initiatives.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, AI + HR, Total Rewards Specialty) is an advantage.
- Experience in vendor management and budget oversight is preferred.
- Proven ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
- Competence in presenting complex data to executive teams and boards of directors.
