YOUR ROLE:
The SVP, Delivery & Operations serves as a key leader on accounts, in the department and within the organization. She/he/they will develop and evolve RAPP workflow processes to continually improve execution efficiency, deliverable quality, risk management, and overall financial health for the accounts they are assigned. The SVP will act as the delivery lead on a large client account or several small-to-medium client accounts. In this role, the SVP is responsible for the effective management of their team, projects, the efficient use of resources, consistent delivery of high-quality client deliverables, and overall client profitability. The SVP is also responsible for the financial performance of their accounts and is responsible for hitting specific gross margin targets. The SVP also contributes to optimizing the overall profitability and health of the organization through supervision of the delivery department and its processes.
The SVP, Delivery & Operations will directly manage project management resources and coach their success. The SVP also works closely with the US Chief of Client Operations in overall department supervision and guidance. The SVP is a highly skilled communicator demonstrating leadership qualities and is able to build internal and client relationships while guiding teams to success.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides ongoing thought-leadership to optimize processes for increased collaboration and time/cost efficiencies to produce the highest quality outputs and manage risk.
- Supervises program outputs to be in line with and curated from RAPP core disciplines.
- Navigates through program and team structures to centralize solutions around our 5 focus areas of CMR, Social Media, Commerce, Digital, and Mobile.
- Assists the Discipline Lead Teams in procuring and managing talent and maximizing that talent in the right areas to achieve great work.
- Strategizes with Finance team to capitalize on business health through new applications/tools and ideas.
- Accountable for maximizing profitability and overall client satisfaction of large engagements or suite of engagements.
- Ensures the successful completion of many concurrent projects under their supervision, which includes being on time, within budget, and of the highest quality.
- Implement/drive risk prevention and best practices.
- Acts as point of escalation internally and with the client for all delivery issues related to the engagement.
- Ideates, estimates, and develops scopes of work and staffing plans to best support new business objectives through collaboration with discipline leads.
- Supervises project plans and scopes to ensure ideal profit margins, effective utilization of resources, and time efficiency.
- Ongoing oversight on projects to ensure proper issues tracking, risk management, and best-in-class solutions and alternative approaches to conflicts.
- Sets and manages expectations and quality through effective communication, problem-solving, and change management.
- Leads and collaborates across disciplines and inter-agency teams to deliver smart solutions successfully, pushes for ideal collaboration, and provides internal team conflict resolution.
- Partners with Client Service function in identifying growth opportunities and takes ownership of new large proposals.
- Acts as a role model and manages and develops Project Management team members, through skill development and training, ongoing constructive feedback and coaching, and career path guidance.
- Serves as leader within Delivery & Operations Discipline.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 15+ years of project/program management experience (preferably 5-7 years within an interactive advertising or marketing agency environment).
- 5+ years’ experience in a project/program management leadership capacity.
- 3+ years’ experience leading platform implementation and technical infrastructure programs.
- Experience in leading government accounts/programs.
- Keen intellect, superior analytic skills.
- Insightful and adaptive, fluid yet extremely precise.
- Team player that understands how to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving, and dynamic organization.
- Bright, conceptual, and a quick learner – able to quickly assess a situation and generate new insights and usable ideas.
- Takes personal responsibility for individual development and approaches every situation as an opportunity to learn.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented. Excellent follow-up and follow-through.
- Possesses excellent inter-personal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills, escalates issues appropriately.
- PMP certification or equivalent experience and training.
- Training and experience in several project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Expertise in various office programs such as, or equivalent to: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio.
- Experience in workflow or tracking tools such as, or equivalent to: JIRA, Basecamp, Workfront, File-sharing, and FTPs.

This range is specific to Chicago and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
