This is a role that is key for direct service delivery within the Local Clinical Director area and designed to truly make a difference in the lives of the families that are served, improving the quality of life and connection to community.
SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of the Corp. Clinical Director, the Local Clinical Director (LCD) will oversee the access to care process, and assist with coordination of the overall performance and routine of all clinical staff. The LCD will be required to assist with maintaining the Access To Care spreadsheet and database, create weekly reports that identify any concerns, barriers to access to care, as well as assisting with the utilization management activities of all offices. Collaboration with the leadership team to discuss all findings including progress and other issues related to services is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Assists Clinical Director with ensuring that all clinical staff have appropriate supervision each month.
- Assists clinical staff in delivering services to consumers and families by providing support and information.
- Maintain Access To Care spreadsheet on a daily basis, and coordinate with all necessary personnel to ensure a timely progression through the entrance process to services.
- Assist with the review of all authorization paperwork to ensure accuracy and completion in its entirety before submission to appropriate MCO.
- Supervise programs as needed.
- Provide leadership with weekly reports (verbal or documented on weekly task list) and updates on assigned duties and job related issues or concerns.
- Maintain up-to-date training to ensure adequate leadership skills and abilities.
- Monitor licensed professionals' schedules to ensure maximum productivity.
- Review and approve clinical documentation.
- Monitor timely review of documentation.
- Be able to provide all duties and responsibilities of a licensed professional at Pathways to Life.
- Provide on-the-job training for new employees, and assist Clinical Director with ensuring proper clinical orientation.
- Fulfill job roles and responsibilities related to program provision, including facilitating groups, completing documentation, and necessary case management activities.
- Act as mobile crisis dispatcher as part of the clinical team, if necessary.
- Perform marketing tasks as needed in the community to enhance community awareness of all services provided by each Pathways to Life office.
- Stand in for any open clinical positions while assisting with hiring open staff positions.
- Assist clinical team as needed with any and all North Carolina based tasks, including but not limited to documentation review, supervision, chart auditing, and training.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
POSITIONS SUPERVISED: Direct Care Service staff and Administrative Assistant
LEVEL OF EDUCATION/TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a Masters Degree in a Human Service Field.
- Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience working in the Human Service field, preferably in Mental Health.
- Must be licensed to provide therapeutic services in the state of North Carolina.
- LCD will have all required company training met within the specified period of time based on Policy and Procedure.
- Have no substantiated findings of abuse or neglect listed on the North Carolina Health Care Personnel Registry.
- All facilities or services require that all applicants for employment disclose any criminal convictions. The impact of this information on a decision regarding employment shall be based upon the offense in relationship to the job for which the applicant is applying.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: Active License, minimum of Associate or Provisional status, to provide therapeutic services in the State of North Carolina.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regularly walk, stand or stoop; occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and regularly drive a motor vehicle. Regularly interact with children and adolescents.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in an office or other environmentally controlled room or out in the community; Work could potentially expose Clinical Supervisor to contagious or infectious diseases; Work may expose Clinical Supervisor to dangerous and volatile situations which could result in bodily injury.
