Role and Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Head of Digital Engineering Operations, the Director of Digital Release Management is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of digital releases, ensuring seamless integration and deployment across various platforms.
- Develop and implement release management strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Define and manage the release schedule, ensuring timely and coordinated releases.
- Work closely with development, QA, operations, and product teams to ensure smooth release processes.
- Produce and maintain documentation related to procedures for build, implementation, and run book plans.
- Maintain release schedules for every core service and ensure alignment with major vendors and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders to address any issues or dependencies.
- Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews.
- Communicate and oversee the creation and validation of the release notes in partnership with the business.
- Develop and maintain engagement with production teams to ensure they are release-ready.
- Initiate and oversee the development of technical guides and training for external functionality.
- Continuously evaluate and improve release management processes and tools.
- Coordinate web deployments with Service Delivery teams.
- Manage mobile application deployments to multi-client owned Appstore/Playstore accounts.
- Implement best practices for release management, including automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) methodologies.
- Identify potential risks in the release process and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor a team of release managers and engineers.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the team.
- Develop, track, and report on release metrics to senior management.
- Analyze release performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in release management, with a strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with tools like Jira, Jenkins, BitRise, and Git.
- Experience managing web deployments for highly leveraged SaaS applications.
- Experience managing complex mobile deployments across many different client-owned Appstore/Playstore accounts.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Compensation
FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $145,900.00 - $245,120.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location.
