CA operates a range of fitness and recreation facilities including three full-service fitness clubs, five tennis clubs, twenty-three outdoor pools, two golf courses, an ice rink, and a miniature golf course.
Position Overview:
CA’s Columbia Athletic Club fitness club General Manager manages all phases of the club’s operations to ensure maximum customer service, sales and profitability, club presentation and cleanliness, facility management, inventory management, safety and loss prevention, payroll management, risk management, and daily operational cost control.
The Athletic Club General Manager will manage a staff of up to 150 in a facility that operates extended hours and seven days per week. Responsibilities include direct supervision of all club managers and department heads as well as oversight of all the club’s departments including Fitness, Housekeeping, Childcare, Front Desk, and Rentals. The General Manager is fully responsible for the attainment of monthly and annual fiscal, sales and member experience goals.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualified candidates must have at least three years in a health club, hospitality or related management level working experience. Strong management and operations experience is required. Prior fitness experience, education in exercise science or related field and/or certification in fitness instruction or personal training preferred.
Salary and Benefits:
Competitive salary range of $88,000 - $110,000 commensurate with experience. Benefits include health/dental/vision/leave/401K, paid time off, tuition reimbursement program, a Columbia Association Fit & Play family membership, employee discounts and more. EOE/ADA.
