About the Role:
As Principal, you will be the instructional leader of the school, supervising the teaching staff and managing all aspects of the school's operations. You'll play a crucial role in creating a motivating and engaging learning environment for our diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer, evaluate, and modify instructional programs.
Manage school resources, including human, financial, and physical assets.
Establish effective relationships with students, parents, staff, and community groups.
Ensure regulatory compliance and oversee the IEP process.
Create a safe, secure, and inclusive learning environment.
Serve as The Children's Guild's representative to Local Education Agencies.

Qualifications
Ideal Candidates Have:
Master's degree in special education.
Eligibility for Maryland professional certificate as a special education supervisor or principal.
Eligibility for Advanced Professional Certificate (APC) with Administrator I & II endorsement.
5+ years of satisfactory teaching and/or administrator experience in special education.
Ability to achieve successful scores on the School Leaders Licensure Assessment.
Thorough understanding of COMAR regulations and IDEA.
Staff development and curriculum design experience.
Experience in brain-based learning and experiential education.
Strong public relations and interpersonal skills.
Experience working effectively with diverse populations.
Commitment to continuous quality improvement.
