POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Postgrad Curriculum Data Coordinator - Continuing Medical Education. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for the preparation and the maintenance of participant data for assigned Continuing Medical Education (CME), Maintenance of Certification (MOC) and Quality Improvement (QI) projects. Maintains departmental data quality standards pertaining to registration data gathering, aggregating, and reporting of all activities accredited for CME credit and/or MOC credit. Ensures compliance with Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and American Nurses Credential Center (ANCC) accreditation requirements for physician CME, nurse continuing education contact hours, and continuing education standards for other clinical professions managed through the CME Office. Assists with the submission of evidence-based educational grant support requests, and reports on the program outcomes data as required by grantors. Serves as the primary point of contact for customer support and learner registration.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the preparation and the maintenance of participant database for assigned CME, MOC and QI projects. Administers continuing education (CE) programs and courses. Prepares program evaluations and CE documentation for programs, speaker packets and proofs brochures. Submits applications to boards and associations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Assists with searches, tracking and researching of grant opportunities, targeting of non-governmental grantors and announcements of Request for Proposals (RFPs), and assists in online application process for commercial non-governmental educational grant support requests.
- Responsible for maintaining Winthrop's online e-library and creating catalog of listings of enduring Continuing Medical Education Continuing Education Continuing Professional Development education materials and modules. Conducts email promotion of online learning catalog.
- Attends Quality Improvement-Maintenance-Of-Certification and Continuing Professional Education Committee (CPEC) quarterly committee meetings. Responsible for recording committee minutes and reporting minutes to CPEC and Executive Committee of Medical Staff.
- Prepares and implements CME course email announcements for director approval, e-blast, social media using basic level of coding in HTML or other email formatting tools. Analyzes and summarizes audience tracking response metrics via Google Analytics and other web tracking technologies.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for registration of learners. Provides participants with transcripts and certificates assistance. May assist with receiving and processing payments and provides customer support by phone and email to learners.
- Validates and maintains activity-level data for assigned CMEMOCQI projects, in preparation for regular audits by ACCME and ANCC and prepares summary reports and graphs. Assures accurate record-keeping. Ensures Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration, as required are in compliance with Hospital policy, regulatory requirements or Joint Commission and other accreditation guidelines.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify you must have a High School or GED. 6 - 8 years Database management, analytics reporting, or non-profit membership services. Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, organization, customer service, and detail-oriented skills. Basic knowledge of Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to summarize and sort data, draw graphs, and create graph slides.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Education, or Industrial/Organizational Psychology or a related field. SQL, HTML or other coding.
